Skeptoid and Sarah Palin

I listen to a lot of podcasts and Skeptoid is among my favorite. It is a weekly podcast produced by Brian Dunning in which he delivers a critical analysis of pop phenomena. Each episode is approximately 10 minutes long and that's one of reasons I like it so much. It's short and to the point and therefore rarely sacrifices clarity of the message it is attempting to convey.

The latest episode is titled Sarah Palin Is Not Stupid. The focus of the episode is not specifically Sarah Palin, but the idea of ad hominem attacks. This is probably the logical fallacy which I most often engage. I will however argue in my own defense that my ad hominem attacks usually follow or are preceded by an attempt at analysis of the specific individual I am making said attacks against. This might more technically be referred to as poisoning the well.

Regardless, if you listen to podcasts and aren't already subscribed to Skeptoid I highly recommend it. If you'd simply just like to read the specific episode I'm referring to, or any other episode Click Here.
