This is the kind of irrelevant junk General Motors is currently manufacturing. Your tax dollars are being used to make Aveos. Ugh. How much do these things cost? $13,770 - $16,570. Oh, and there's no discount for all you shareholders out there.
I wonder if the government would be willing to give me handouts to make horse carriages. It's the wave of the future. This whole thing is getting rather silly. Maybe it's time to let these dinosaurs go extinct.

Dinomobiles running on dead dinosaurs! I think this an huge waste of taxpayers money. Our money should not be used to prop up bloated, useless companies. Let them go bankrupt so the assets can be freed up to be used by companies that are going to put them to good use.
I have a little more to say on this subject.
While we don't yet have highly efficient vehicles that run on alternate fuel sources, we are getting closer. Imagine if 10.5 Billion dollars was used to fund scientific and engineering research in order to discover and perfect such technologies.
Not only would we have an more environmentally friendly car, but we could also become world leaders in a new technology, and eventually create more jobs than GM would potentially loose. 10.5 Billion dollars is a lot of money to just toss at a private business, especially one so out of date as GM.
Furthermore GM has failed to create a product anyone wants to buy. That’s a big part of the reason why they’re losing money. Dumb ideas deserve to die and get buried. This new zombified version of GM is destined to fail. What happens then? Another 10.5 Billion dollars?
I think considering the feds will be running at least a $50 billion deficit this year, I think we are better not spending the money at all.
I don't mind the idea of a deficit if it's part of a plan that will will show a good return on investment, even if it's a long term pay off.
This whole GM kerfuffle just seems like a short term money pit.
